How do I join a Zoom Meeting?
Answer:
In order to record your attendance in a class, the first time you join a Zoom meeting you will be required to register. Upon registration you will be sent an email with the meeting details and a unique link, which you should use to join the meeting.
Note: For attendance tracking, it is important that you use your unique link to join the class so your name appears correctly on Zoom.
- Click on the meeting link in your registration email
a. Your default browser will be launched, and the page below will load from where you can download the Zoom Meeting app. Alternatively, you can select to join from a web browser.
- If you already have the Zoom Meetings app installed, then it will prompt you to open the app.
- Type in your full name and type in the Meeting Passcode.
Note: we do not recommend copying and pasting the Meeting Passcode.
- You can also open the Zoom meeting app and click on 'Join a Meeting' and type in the meeting Id and Passcode.
Note: Please use your full name as host and co-host will be monitoring the meeting and if they see unfamiliar names then they will not allow you to join the meeting.
